Malcolm Clark’s studio, based in the Eastbrook Studio Lot, hosted a day where the eleven students learned about camera operation, how to take a good photo and lighting techniques.<\/p>\n

The building on the lot used to be a pharmaceutical factory and has been repurposed as a creative hub. Its unique look means it makes a great location for filming. Recently, 50 Cent filmed in the building for his new boxing drama, Fightland. The students also saw a room used in the Stranger Things series and met make-up and hair artists at the Final Calls Academy who have worked with KSI, Idris Elba and even King Charles.<\/p>\n

In the afternoon the students were able to put their learning into action, conducting photoshoots, changing lighting and setting and utilising costumes and props. This was a fantastic experience and many of the students said it made them rethink a career in the creative media industries. Malcolm was very accommodating and taught the students techniques they can use in their personal photography and also in their Media Studies coursework.<\/p>\n
