Form tutors and Heads of Year track students\u2019 achievement and are able to intervene if necessary. Progress cards are regularly updated after every report entry point in order to raise aspirations and to prevent any student being left behind. At key transition points students are supported with decision making.<\/p>\n\n\n\n
We believe at JRCS that all students from Years 7-13 should have access to information, advice and guidance to enable them to make informed decisions about their future careers and pathways.<\/p>\n\n\n\n
It is important that all students are fully supported and guided through the process of planning their future by having a full programme of careers education which will help students to develop the skills and knowledge to understand themselves, research careers available, make informed decisions to enable them to move successfully onto the next chapter.<\/p>\n\n\n\n

The impartial and independent careers advice and guidance should be from a qualified career professional (level 6 qualified)<\/p>\n\n\n\n JRCS work in partnership with BDSIP and have a level 6 Careers Adviser who attends school on Tuesday and Friday each week at 8.45-3.30pm<\/p>\n\n\n\n The one-one career guidance meetings include information about a wide range of education and training options available including apprenticeships and other vocational pathways. Understanding labour market information (LMI) is becoming particularly important due to developments around the world.<\/p>\n\n\n\n Careerometer lets you compare the average wages and working hours of up to three jobs in England.<\/p>\n\n\n\n Simply type in the title of the job you are interested in and the widget provides a series of options from which you can select the most relevant to you. You can then look up another two occupations and compare.
