Year 7 were treated to a special assembly delivered by boxer Colin McMillan. The focus for the week in Black History Month was sport, and his visit was a wonderful opportunity for our Year 7s to hear all about achieving their dreams through hard work and resilience.
Colin started boxing when he attended a local boxing club in Dagenham at the age of 15 and had a dream of being a World Champion. Colin achieved the British Featherweight Champion title twice and was crowned Commonwealth Featherweight Champion.
It was such a pleasure to have him talk to the students and answer their many questions. We are fortunate!
